About
Tokimeki Memorial Selection: Fujisaki Shiori for PlayStation is a Japanese character-focused companion disc released by Konami on March 27, 1997. Rather than another version of the long-form Tokimeki Memorial dating simulation, this is a compact selection built around Fujisaki Shiori, the central heroine of Tokimeki Memorial: Forever With You. It was issued for both PlayStation and Sega Saturn, and its contents are designed as an interactive collection for players who wanted to spend more time with Shiori outside the main school-life campaign.
The original Tokimeki Memorial asks the player to manage three years of school life, build abilities, arrange dates, and pursue a graduation-day confession. Selection: Fujisaki Shiori does not repeat that structure or ask players to raise a protagonist’s statistics. Its focus is on scenes, audio, artwork, and small interactive diversions featuring one character. That narrower format makes it distinct from the main game as well as from the later dramatic story releases in the series.
Shiori is the childhood friend and school idol associated with Kirameki High. Konami’s series materials describe her as bright, athletic, and academically gifted, with demanding standards for romance; her voice is performed by Mami Kingetsu. This PlayStation release uses that familiar character as its sole subject, presenting an alternate set of seasonal date material instead of the situations used in the original game. The four date segments are arranged around spring, summer, autumn, and winter, giving the disc a deliberately personal, character-showcase approach.
Its media collection includes music clips for “Oshiete Mr. Sky” and “Kaze to Issho ni Ikou.” A portrait collection gathers full-body illustrations of Shiori’s outfits from the first Tokimeki Memorial, while a voice collection preserves a large range of her spoken lines. These sections make the disc closer to an interactive fan album than a conventional adventure game, emphasizing the character’s visual designs, songs, and recorded performance rather than branching relationship management.
The principal game-like feature is a short head-to-head guessing contest with Shiori, played in the Japanese acchi muite hoi style. The match is decided by being the first to win three rounds, and success reveals a hidden illustration. That simple challenge provides a repeatable activity among the galleries and clips without changing the release into a full dating sim. For a PlayStation collection centered on one of Konami’s defining 1990s heroines, Tokimeki Memorial Selection: Fujisaki Shiori captures the franchise’s character-driven fan culture in a focused, period-specific form.
