Sylvanian Families 4 : Meguru Kisetsu no Tapestry

2002 · Ooparts · JRPG · 1 player

About

Released in Japan for Game Boy Advance on December 6, 2002, Sylvanian Families 4: Meguru Kisetsu no Tapestry was published by Epoch and developed by Ooparts. It is a single-player adventure based on Epoch’s Sylvanian Families dollhouse world.

The player takes the role of a Milk Rabbit girl in Sylvanian Village. The village has lost its seasons, and her goal is to collect the materials needed to create the “Tapestry of the Seasons” and bring the seasonal cycle back.

Progress comes from exploring the village, speaking with its animal residents, and completing their requests. As the story moves through the seasons, new places and activities become available.

The game also includes gentle minigames such as cooking and growing flowers. Event scenes can be saved in an album, turning discoveries and completed moments into a record of the adventure.

As the fourth numbered Sylvanian Families game, it carries the series’ everyday, community-centered play into a Game Boy Advance adventure rather than a combat-focused quest.
