Nobunaga no Yabou - Reppuuden (Nobunaga's Ambition: Tales of Storms) is the eighth title in the series, released in February 1999 for Windows 95, with ports for Macintosh, PlayStation, Dreamcast and PlayStation Portable released later. The game is set during the Kingdoms period in Japan. As the title suggests, the player is tasked with achieving the ultimate goal of warlord Oda Nobunaga; the conquest and unification of Japan. Selecting Nobunaga is optional, however, as the player can also choose from a variety of other regional daimyo of the time.
