About
Fuyu no Sonata DS is a single-player drama game released in Japan for Nintendo DS on December 23, 2009. It was published by D3 Publisher and developed by SKONEC Entertainment.
The game is a licensed adaptation of the South Korean television drama Winter Sonata. Its story mode uses a newly written scenario based on the drama's scripts, centered on Jun-sang and Yu-jin.
Players follow the scenario through text and video sequences featuring scenes from the drama. The scenario can be presented in Japanese or Korean.
A Date Mode lets players tour filming locations with Jun-sang. A Gallery Mode includes scenes cut from the Japanese television broadcast and previously unreleased production images.
The game also includes minigames, including jigsaw puzzles and Korean writing exercises.
