About

Dragon Tales: Dragon Adventures is a 2004 Game Boy Advance game based on the animated television series. Handheld Games developed the game, and Global Star Software published the North American release.

This version is the Game Boy Advance port of the 2001 Game Boy Color game of the same name. It is distinct from Dragon Tales: Dragon Seek for PlayStation and Dragon Tales: Dragon Wings for Game Boy Color.

The game is a single-player 2D side-scrolling platformer set in Dragon Land. Players choose from five separate stories: Dragon-Berry Days, Bye-Bye Flutterby, Help, I’m Lost, Puzzle Wood, and Scaliwag.

Each story sends the player through its own stages to recover or locate a particular set of items, such as dragon berries, flutterbies, puzzle pieces, or Captain Scaliwag’s maps and treasure. The game’s locations include the Stickleback Mountains, the Singing Springs, and the Crystal Caverns.

Players can switch characters at signs during the stages. Emmy and Max can crawl through small spaces, while the dragon characters can hover and fly in designated sections; this Game Boy Advance version also makes Zak and Wheezie playable.

Cupcakes, jewels, and music notes can be collected for points in addition to each story’s main objective. The Game Boy Advance release also includes a training stage that introduces stage elements such as slides, drums, and poles.
