About

Lucky Luke is a side-scrolling action-platform game for Game Boy Color, released by Infogrames in 1999. It is the Game Boy Color version of the 1996 Game Boy game, rather than the separate Lucky Luke games released for Super NES or PlayStation.

A jailbreak sends Lucky Luke after Old West outlaws including Billy the Kid, Jesse James, and the Dalton brothers. The campaign takes him through 12 settings as he pursues the escaped criminals across the American Southwest.

On foot, Lucky Luke runs, jumps, climbs, ducks, and fires his revolver at enemies. The game uses a side-view, scrolling presentation and mixes its platforming with enemy encounters and obstacle-driven stages.

Several sequences change the action from ordinary platforming into set-piece chases. Lucky Luke must contend with a tornado, a stagecoach ride, a train chase, and a buffalo stampede.

The Game Boy Color release includes three difficulty levels and bonus shooting-gallery stages in which Lucky Luke shoots bottles for an extra life. Infogrames is credited as both developer and publisher for this version.
