About

うる星やつら ラムのウエディングベル is a Famicom action game developed and published by Jaleco. It was released in Japan on October 23, 1986.

The game is Jaleco’s licensed Urusei Yatsura reworking of its arcade game Momoko 120%. Its basic structure closely follows the arcade original, with Momoko replaced by Lum and many characters redrawn as figures from the manga and anime.

Players guide Lum through multi-storey buildings while flames climb upward from below. She jumps across hazards, uses her electric attack against enemies, and races for the rooftop, where her UFO marks the escape from each stage.

The main stages follow Lum through kindergarten, elementary school, middle school, and high school, turning the progression of her life into a series of increasingly hazardous escapes. Its premise and events are deliberately far removed from the original Urusei Yatsura story.

Hidden pickups and character assists add to the action. Collecting three special items brings in Rei, changes enemies into taiyaki, and lets the player use the resulting transformation to move upward through the stage. The Famicom version also adds costumes for Lum and appearances by supporting Urusei Yatsura characters.
