About
Eclipse is an experimental space simulation game developed by Argonaut Software for the Game Boy, known in Japan as X. Released in 1992, it is notable for its use of wireframe 3D graphics, a rarity on the console. The player pilots a spaceship on escort, attack, and delivery missions in a futuristic universe. Although it was never released outside of Japan, it remains memorable for its technical innovation and for being a precursor to three-dimensional graphics on handheld consoles.
