About
Space Invaders Pocket is a Taito shooting-game compilation for the PlayStation Portable. It was released in Japan on May 12, 2005, and packages eight versions and entries from the Space Invaders arcade series on one PSP disc.
The 1978 Space Invaders is represented by four distinct versions: black-and-white, cellophane-overlay, upright-cabinet, and color. Those four variants make up half of the collection's eight included selections.
The compilation also includes Space Invaders Part II, originally released in 1979. Return of the Invaders, released in 1985, is included as the next later entry in the series.
The 1990 Majestic Twelve: Space Invaders Part IV is part of the lineup as well. The final included title is the 1995 release Akkanbeedaa.
Space Invaders Pocket presents this set of arcade-era Space Invaders releases as a portable PSP collection. Its selection spans the original game's multiple versions and subsequent series installments from 1978 through 1995.
