Percy Jackson and the Olympians - The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief for Nintendo DS is a role-playing game based on the 2010 film adaptation of Rick Riordan’s first Percy Jackson novel. It follows Percy, a young demigod and son of Poseidon, after Zeus accuses him of stealing the master lightning bolt.

The story sends Percy on a race to establish his innocence, rescue his mother, and avert a conflict among the gods. Its contemporary world places the Olympians and their mythology alongside modern-day locations.

Players guide Percy and his allies through the adventure, facing threats tied to the Greek-myth setting. The game uses turn-based battles, so encounters play out through chosen actions rather than real-time combat.

This Nintendo DS release was developed by Griptonite Games and published by Activision. It was released in North America in February 2010.

The DS game is a distinct licensed adaptation built around the Lightning Thief premise and its quest across a world shaped by ancient gods. Its RPG format keeps the focus on Percy’s party and the dangers surrounding their mission.
