About
Camp Lazlo: Leaky Lake Games for Game Boy Advance turns Cartoon Network’s summer-camp cartoon into a single-player action adventure built around a competition. Developed by Collision Studios and published in North America by Crave Entertainment, it arrived on November 6, 2006. The GBA game places the Jelly Cabin’s three Bean Scouts—Lazlo, Raj and Clam—at Camp Kidney, where a run of camp activities leads toward the Leaky Lake Games and a final contest with the rival Squirrel Scouts.
Rather than following one camper from beginning to end, the adventure rotates control among Lazlo, Raj and Clam. Their route through camp is presented as an exploration map: use the directional pad to move, then press A when near someone to begin a conversation. Camp Kidney’s familiar residents serve a practical role here as well as a recognizable one, providing dialogue, directions and, at times, useful items. The manual’s central advice is simple: speak to everyone, since those exchanges can point the trio toward the next objective.
The journey is structured around earning the merit badges needed to reach the Leaky Lake event. Exploring links the challenges together, while the contests themselves change the input demands from activity to activity. A teeter-totter event, for example, uses the A and B buttons, whereas the high-dive challenge calls for both the directional pad and face buttons. Each event supplies its own instructions, making the camp map the bridge between short skill tests instead of turning the whole game into a single uninterrupted race.
Its setting draws directly on the animated Camp Lazlo series: the campers belong to the Jelly Cabin at the loose, scout-like Camp Kidney, with Leaky Lake and the girls’ camp across the water providing the competitive backdrop. Lazlo, Raj and Clam are joined by characters including Scoutmaster Lumpus, Slinkman and Edward as the games unfold. That framing gives the handheld release a clear tie-in identity while keeping the goal focused on camp tasks, badge progress and eventual qualification for the tournament.
Camp Lazlo: Leaky Lake Games was released only for Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance. The North American cartridge was issued by Crave with an Everyone rating, while 505 Games handled a European release in January 2007. For players looking for a mid-2000s Cartoon Network handheld game, it offers a compact visit to Camp Kidney that combines map exploration, character conversations and a sequence of timed competition events centered on Lazlo and his cabin mates.
