Three months have passed since his escape, but in that time, Mr. Y has plunged the town into turmoil. He's taken control of the city and corrupted the police force. No one is safe, and thugs rule the streets. But three young friends take a stand for justice. Their names are Kula Gem, Max Bacon and Mandy Bluegard. They can no longer tolerate crime, violence and injustice. So they take to the streets to deliver justice. Beats of Rage is an open-source video game created as a tribute to Sega's Streets of Rage 2. It took 9 months to develop. The game was then modded and ported to several other systems, gaining in popularity, with over a million copies downloaded.
