Persona 4

Persona 4 GB [DEMO] is an unofficial 2022 Game Boy homebrew demake created by SeanSS. It is not a licensed Atlus release and should not be confused with the full Persona 4, which originally launched for PlayStation 2.

Built with GB Studio, this small project imagines how Persona 4 might have looked and played on Nintendo's monochrome handheld hardware. It uses a Game Boy-style presentation while drawing on the setting and characters of Atlus's role-playing game.

The demo adapts only the opening portion of the story, placing the player in Inaba for a brief introductory sequence. Its short runtime offers an early look at the concept rather than a complete retelling of Persona 4.

Persona 4 GB was distributed as a downloadable Game Boy ROM and can also be played in a browser. The ROM is intended for compatible Game Boy emulators and can run on appropriate Game Boy hardware.

This is a prototype fan project, not a full commercial game. SeanSS described it as one of their first GB Studio projects, and no completed Game Boy version of Persona 4 was released.
