About

Crayon Shin-chan: Ora to Shiro wa Otomodachi Da yo is a Game Boy action game based on the Crayon Shin-chan series. Its Japanese title is クレヨンしんちゃん オラとシロはお友達だよ.

Bandai published the game in Japan on April 9, 1993. Development was handled by Tose.

The game is a side-scrolling action title in which the player controls Shinnosuke Nohara. It has four stages, with dialogue scenes and minigames appearing during the adventure.

Shinnosuke can avoid the bullies encountered on the way to each stage's goal. Items include Chocobi, a Shin-chan doll, soap bubbles, and a water pistol.

One minigame asks the player to find Shiro, the Nohara family's dog, in an empty lot using hints from Shinnosuke's friends. The outcome of that search changes the ending dialogue and staff-roll presentation.

This is the first Crayon Shin-chan game released for Game Boy. It is distinct from the later numbered Game Boy sequel, Crayon Shin-chan 2: Ora to Wanpaku Gokko da Zo, which was released on October 22, 1993.
