About
Totally Spies! 4: Around the World is a Nintendo DS adventure based on the animated Totally Spies! series. Developed by OUAT Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, it was released in Europe in November 2008. The game reunites Sam, Clover, and Alex, the teenage agents who balance their ordinary lives with assignments for the World Organization of Human Protection.
The story sends the three spies after a celebrated master thief. Their investigation is tied to the mystery of the Shandalama, and progress comes through the sort of fieldwork associated with the series: speaking with witnesses, keeping out of sight, following leads, and making use of spy equipment.
Rather than presenting the trio as interchangeable decoration, the game centers its missions on the familiar team of Sam, Clover, and Alex. Their presence gives the investigation a clear connection to the television property, whose premise follows the friends on covert operations under WOOHP supervision.
Around the World is an action game for the DS, but its investigative framing also emphasizes puzzles and clues. Reports on the release describe a mixture of deciphering codes, gadget use, and espionage challenges, placing the focus on uncovering information as well as confronting the obstacles in each mission.
The title was released as Totally Spies! 4: Autour du Monde in French-speaking European markets. It is the fourth entry in the series' line of games and followed Totally Spies! 3: Secret Agent on Nintendo DS. Its European release used the DS cartridge format and carried a PEGI 3 rating.
For players familiar with the show, the game offers a compact mystery built around its recognizable heroines, globe-spanning premise, colorful espionage gadgets, and a hunt for answers. The combination of witness interviews, stealthy moments, coded clues, and mission-based play makes it a distinctly television-license take on a portable adventure.
