About

Peppa Pig - Fun And Games for Nintendo DS is a preschool-focused activity collection based on the British animated series. Released in Europe on 26 March 2010, the Nintendo DS version was published by P2 Games; release records credit Asylum Entertainment as its developer. It follows the earlier Peppa Pig: The Game and places Peppa, George and their family in a set of short, approachable activities designed around the DS touch screen rather than a long-form adventure.

The game opens with a player-profile system that lets children enter a name and save progress across sessions. From there, they choose among Peppa’s Front Garden, Back Garden and House, with each place leading to its own activities. The structure makes it easy to select a favourite game, leave one activity at any time, and return to the menu without having to work through a fixed sequence of levels. There are ten main games, along with a separate dressing-up activity.

Touching and sliding with the stylus drive most of the Nintendo DS play. In Daddy Pig’s Bubbles, players tap bubbles while freeing butterflies and bumble bees that can help clear more of the screen. George’s Rocket instead asks players to steer George through space toward the moon, avoiding meteors and alien spacecraft. Cleaning Bicycles turns its chores into a sequence of stylus actions: scrub mud with a sponge, rinse away soap with a hose, and pop the bubbles that appear as the bikes are cleaned.

The garden games build their simple tasks around familiar scenes from Peppa Pig. Picking Apples has players sort red apples into Peppa’s basket and green rotten apples into George’s bucket for the compost heap. In Watering Flowers, they tend seeds with a watering can, protect flowers from snails and try not to drive bees away. Duck Pond uses a sliding motion to throw bread to hungry ducks, while the game gently encourages counting the birds that gather. These activities use clear goals and immediate visual responses suited to the series’ young audience.

Inside Peppa’s house, the collection shifts toward drawing, decorating and small party games. Making Pictures lets players position shapes to create pictures, while Decorating Cupcakes provides ingredients that can be dragged onto, or removed from, up to eight cakes. Birthday Cake gives Rebecca Rabbit’s candles a touch-screen option and a Nintendo DS microphone option for blowing them out. Bursting Balloons asks players to reveal Peppa and George in a balloon-filled hide-and-seek game by popping the balloons on screen.

Progression is light but present. As players explore the activities, they can discover ways to unlock extra clothes for the bonus Dressing Up Game, including hidden Dinosaur finds, task completions and menu-screen interactions. The dressing-up mode lets players choose Peppa’s clothes, shoes and hats, then save preferred combinations to Peppa’s Photo Album; fourteen additional outfits can be unlocked in total. With its collection of Peppa Pig settings, touch-led minigames and low-pressure saveable goals, the Nintendo DS release is a compact licensed game built specifically around preschool play.
