About

Chokkan! Asonde Rilakkuma for Nintendo DS is a Japanese-only Rilakkuma mini-game collection released by Rocket Company on September 25, 2008. Marketed as an “easy game album,” it turns the relaxed San-X character world into a fast series of short interactive challenges. It is the second Nintendo DS Rilakkuma game from Rocket Company, following Watashi no Rilakkuma, but its focus is not on looking after the characters or furnishing a room. Instead, it asks players to respond quickly to the situations that appear on the DS screens.

The game’s title points directly to its central idea: understanding what to do through intuition. A brief prompt and an on-screen scene provide the clue, while the player works out the appropriate action rather than following a lengthy explanation. Challenges are designed around simple, immediate interactions and are intended to be picked up in short sessions. That structure makes the individual activities the building blocks of the experience, with quick recognition and response taking priority over a long-form story or campaign.

Nintendo DS hardware is central to Chokkan! Asonde Rilakkuma. The collection uses the touch screen and stylus for actions such as rubbing and tapping, and it also makes use of the system’s microphone for blowing into the handheld. These controls let the game frame ordinary gestures as part of its playful tasks, giving the Rilakkuma license a format built specifically around the DS rather than conventional button-only play.

More than 200 mini-games are included, giving the Nintendo DS release a large set of brief scenarios to work through. Completing games can earn rewards, and the collection element includes over 200 figures as well as reward wallpapers. The result is a mixture of immediate mini-game play and a gradual album-building incentive: players can return to the challenges while filling out the game’s selectable extras.

Rilakkuma, Korilakkuma, and Kiiroitori provide the familiar character presence behind the activities, with the mini-games drawing on the gentle, everyday tone associated with the franchise. Chokkan! Asonde Rilakkuma therefore stands apart from larger adventure or simulation games on the system: it is a single-player variety title built around brief touch-and-microphone challenges, character-themed presentation, and collectible rewards. For players interested in Japanese Nintendo DS character games, it captures a late-2000s use of the handheld’s distinctive input features.
