The game takes place on the world map in turn-based strategy mode and with nice animated video inserts. A player can earn money and spend it on upgrading characters, for example, more than 200 spare parts are provided for the furs of the Gundam series or to acquire new units. The goal of the game is to conquer new territories, displacing the enemies from there. The game is made in nice graphics and resembles the game The Unholy Wars, but unfortunately Battle Formation is a Japanese game and only for the Japanese market.
